The New Moon is a celebration of the New Month for the Israelites. This day is to be observed with joy, gladness and feasting (feast day). The New Moon is a Sabbath, and we are forbidden to work, buy and/or sell, however during the New Moon we are allowed to cook as it is a feast day.

The New Moon is also a Holy convocation(gathering)so if at all possible gather with other likeminded Israelites in your area.
